My name is Emily Lape and I am the Kindergarten Teacher here at Summit Academy.  I started with Summit in February of 2011 and could not be happier.  

I graduated from WKU with a degree in Special Education - LBD (Learning and Behavior Disorders). I am married to my best friend and sweetheart, Erick. He is truly my biggest fan! We have 2 beautiful, fun, energetic, and loving girls Lilly and Reese and a 4 legged baby is a chocolate lab named Max. Being a wife and mother is very special to me and has really molded me into the teacher I am today.

As a teacher and a mother I have realized that communication and teamwork is a huge part of helping our kids grow and learn. In order to make Kindergarten a successful year we will have to work together as a team. I will do my best to keep you informed about your child's education. If you ever have any questions or concerns the line of communication is always open.
